  • How to write software legal issue ?

    Posted by admin on August 8th, 2010 and filed under legal authoring firm | 1 Comment »

    I’m working for a firm and my boss asked me to write this application. As the author of the application, I know that it can be used for other malicious purpose and I have a feeling that my boss is intending to be using in malicious way. I seriously don’t want to end up being the author of some blacklisted software or cause any problems in the future regarding to this application. All I’m doing here is as a part of my job. I can’t possibly deny what my boss ask me to do so. So here is my question. I want to write some notes on like "if this application has been used for other malicious purposes then the software is intended to be, the author shall hold no responsibility blur blur blur". By writing something like that, would I be able to stay free if there’s any trouble regarding to this application in the future ? Will be looking forward to any suggestions. Thanks all.

    You could add the text into the source, but it won’t matter. If the software has a legitimate purpose, not just a phishing tool or the like, you have nothing to worry about.

    If the software has no other purpose than some sort of malware, you have to ask yourself if this is the sort of work you wish to be doing, for this sort of boss.

    It may be time to find a new employer.

    What kind of firm will assist in the submission process for a documentary film to a network such as PBS?

    Posted by admin on August 8th, 2010 and filed under authoring network | 2 Comments »

    My company is trying to submit a completed documentary film to be considered for TV programming (PBS, NOVA, History Channel, etc). I’m familiar with PR firms who help promote authors to the media and such, but I want to know if anyone knows of specific firms we can consult throughout the submission process, contact networks on our behalf, guide us in creation of our proposal package, etc. All thoughts and ideas are welcome. Thanks!

    I’m not familiar with the process myself, but forwarded your question to my daughter, who works for an emmy-award winning documentarian. She says:

    "You are better off promoting it yourself.

    They don’t necessarily like firms, since that means outside money for outside purposes.

    The boss had his best success calling, and calling, and writing, and visiting, and calling some more."

    Perhaps that doesn’t answer the question directly, but I’m hoping it provides a helpful perspective.

    Should mainstream media begin covering scientific community’s consensus surrouding discredit of IPCC’s Agenda?

    Professor Mike Hulme, declared Climategate reveals climate science had become ‘too partisan, too centralized.” Hulme, a climate scientist who was listed as “the 10th most cited author in the world in the field of climate change, does not mince words on the magnitude of the scandal.

    ~~~~
    UN IPCC contributing author Dr. Eduardo Zorita wrote on November 26, 2009 that the three UN scientists at the center of the Climategate storm “should be barred from the IPCC process.”
    “Michael Mann, Phil Jones and Stefan Rahmstorf should be barred from the IPCC process,” Zorita wrote. “The scientific assessments in which they may take part are not credible anymore.”
    “By writing these lines I will just probably achieve that a few of my future studies will, again, not see the light of publication,” Zorita candidly admits, a reference to the ClimateGate emails discussing how to suppress data and scientific studies that do not agree with the UN IPCC views.
    ~~~

    CBC’s Rex Murphy Unloads About ClimateGate: It ‘pulls back the curtain on pettiness, turf protection, manipulation, defiance of FOIA, loss or destroyed data and attempts to blacklist’ – ‘Science has gone to bed with advocacy and both have had a very good time’

    ~~~~~
    Center for Env. Journalism’s Tom Yulsman: ‘I’m standing with George Monbiot on this’ – Nov. 25, 2009 – ‘I believe the CRU (Climate Research Unit) should agree to an independent examination of what happened…to prevent this kind of thing from ever happening again’
    ~~~

    Fortunately as mainstream media channels avoid any news stories that might derail THIS President’s radical agenda, most Americans aren’t so stupid…is it any wonder that Fox News has peaked as the number 1 cable news network by filling a market need for news that is unfiltered….

    Time Mag.: ‘After Climategate, Global Warming Doubt on Rise’ — ‘Series of troubling indicators that skepticism about global warming is on the rise’ – Shock From Time Mag. Calls for Jones to Resign!? ‘If Jones is found to have actively encouraged his scientists to dodge FOIA requests, which some of the e-mails suggest, he should almost certainly resign from his post’

    Yes if they are to be considered a news organization they would, however they have become the lame stream media as they distort and ignore many stories that might refute the liberal view
